Introducing The Different Uses of Pink Ties
Any strapping gentleman has shirts, suits, and neckties in his closet. Ask them what their favorite color is, and it’s highly likely that you’ll get blue, green, or black as answers. The color that you’ll rarely hear from them is pink. It takes a lot of guts and confidence to wear pink, and pulling it off gives you an undeniable swagger that’s guaranteed to turn heads.
It is believed that pink ties were first introduced during the 80s, a period of funky fashion and excess. Everyone from professional skateboarders, pop singers to rock stars wore them until it slowly faded into obscurity. The color only soared back into popularity when Donald Trump consistently wore one in his TV show The Apprentice.
Since the mid-2000s, pink ties started to appear in the collections of top fashion designers. Names ranging from Alexander McQueen to Calvin Klein all used the color. Today, more and more men have pink ties in their wardrobe. They are often a popular choice during spring and summertime, thus solidifying its place in men’s wear.
Pink ties
are now seen as office wear, leisure attire and even for formal occasions. Since it’s a lighter hue of red that symbolizes passion and energy, pink is calming but still has that certain intense hint of passion. Due to its romantic undertones, don’t be surprised to see the color being used during weddings.

can do wonders for any outfit. A safe bet is to pair it with a white shirt. White is the perfect background to show off any color necktie. In addition, the contrasting combination of light green and pink gives off a soothing feeling of tranquility that’s perfect for the summer. A pale blue shirt with a pink tie can be used to achieve the same effect.
Pink ties
can be used in almost any occasion. For more formal gatherings however, it’s best to stick to more conservative colors like black or dark blue. Pink will only beg for attention in these events and you definitely don’t want that to happen. Pink ties can be found wherever fine ties are sold. If you really want to make a statement, then strut with confidence and wear pink.
